Gutters

Perfect Your Drainage

Gutters are the unglamorous part of the roof system, but they do most of the day-to-day work. A great roof with bad gutters destroys siding, basements, foundations, and landscaping. A modest roof with proper gutters protects the home for decades.

Aqua-Tek Roofing installs seamless gutter systems, soffit and fascia, and complete drainage packages across Pennsylvania. Often we do this work as part of a full roof project — but we also install gutters as a standalone service.

What we install

Seamless aluminum gutters

The standard for residential and most commercial applications. We form gutters on site to the exact length needed for your home, eliminating most seams and most failure points. Available in K-style (the standard look) and half-round (a more traditional aesthetic) profiles. Standard sizes 5-inch and 6-inch — the 6-inch handles heavy Pennsylvania storm runoff better and we recommend it on most homes with significant roof area.

Color matching

Aluminum gutters come in a wide range of factory-baked colors. We help you select a color that complements the trim, fascia, or roof — whether you want the gutters to disappear visually or stand out as a design element.

Downspouts

We install downspouts in standard or oversized profiles, properly anchored to the wall, with extensions, splash blocks, or buried drain tile to direct water away from the foundation. Underground drain runs available for properties where water management matters.

Soffit and fascia

The soffit (the underside of the roof overhang) and fascia (the vertical board behind the gutter) protect the roof structure and provide attic ventilation. We install vinyl, aluminum, or wood soffit and fascia, including ventilated soffit for proper attic airflow.

Gutter guards / leaf protection

Available in multiple systems — micro-mesh, surface tension, and screen guards. Each has trade-offs in cost, debris handling, and snow performance. We can recommend what’s appropriate for your property and the trees around it.

Why proper gutters matter in Pennsylvania

  • Snow and ice management — Heavy snow loads stress gutters that aren’t properly sized, hung, or anchored. Ice damming is a recurring problem in PA winters; proper gutter design and attic insulation work together to control it.
  • Foundation protection — A 1,500 square foot roof can shed thousands of gallons of water during a single storm. Without gutters routing that water away, the foundation absorbs the impact.
  • Siding and trim protection — Water cascading off an unguttered roof rots siding, soffit, fascia, and trim within years.
  • Landscaping and erosion — Storm runoff against the foundation kills plantings and erodes grade.

Common signs your gutters need attention

  • Water spilling over the edge during storms (gutters undersized or clogged)
  • Gutters pulling away from the house (fastener failure or rotted fascia behind)
  • Visible rust, corrosion, or holes
  • Water staining on siding below the gutter
  • Sagging sections, especially after winters
  • Rotted soffit or fascia (often the underlying cause of gutter problems)
  • Basement leaks that started or worsened in recent years

When we replace gutters, we often discover that the fascia behind has rotted from years of overflow. That fascia repair is a common companion to gutter replacement.

Pricing

Gutter pricing depends on the home’s perimeter, gutter size, downspout count, color, and any necessary fascia repair. Approximate ranges:

  • Standard 5-inch K-style aluminum, 100 to 200 linear feet: typically $1,200 to $2,800 installed.
  • 6-inch oversized aluminum: typically $1,800 to $4,000 installed.
  • Full gutters with fascia replacement and gutter guards: priced based on specifics.

Frequently Asked Questions

Got questions about your roofing project? Here are the most common questions we answer for commercial and residential property owners across Pennsylvania.

  • What size seamless gutters do I need for my house?

While 5-inch gutters are standard, we highly recommend 6-inch oversized aluminum gutters for most PA homes. The larger 6-inch size handles the heavy storm runoff and snow melt common in our climate much more effectively.

  • Why are my gutters pulling away from the house?

Gutters usually pull away due to fastener failure caused by heavy snow and ice loads, or because the wooden fascia board behind the gutter has rotted from years of water overflow.

  • Can you fix rotted wood fascia when installing new gutters?

Yes. When we replace gutters, we frequently discover rotted fascia. Repairing and replacing damaged soffit and fascia boards is a standard part of our comprehensive drainage solutions.

  • How much do seamless aluminum gutters cost?

Pricing depends on the perimeter of your home. Standard 5-inch K-style gutters typically cost $1,200 to $2,800 for 100-200 linear feet. Upgrading to 6-inch oversized gutters generally runs between $1,800 and $4,000 installed.

  • Do gutter guards really work in Pennsylvania?

Yes, but there is no “one size fits all.” Micro-mesh, surface tension, and screen guards all have different trade-offs regarding debris handling and snow performance. We assess the trees around your property and recommend the system that will perform best for your home.
